My art has evolved from the black and white processes of printmaking - etching and lithography - to colorful monoprints and mixed media constructions. I love the process of pulling a print and seeing the reversed image, or assembling objects where a small shift in placement makes a meaningful statement. Always an "Ah Ha" moment!
-- Concerned about the way we are treating our natural environment and our personal relationships, I am exploring layers in natural landscapes and human interactions, visually and conceptually.

Jim Wilkin

I have worked with wood as a hobby for most of my adult life. Now in retirement I am able to truly focus on stretching my skills and creativity full time.

Each piece of wood was alive at one time – breathing in its own ways. And for me there is still life in it. My goal is for each piece of wood that I use to inspire me to create shapes and forms – turnings, sculpture, and pieces of furniture - that allow the wood’s natural beauty to be seen, touched and appreciated by all who look at it.
